Program & Services

All programs are offered in a safe, supportive, inclusive environment. Women are asked to attend all workshops which are structured to provide them with the information and skills necessary live a longer and healthier life while managing their HIV infection.

Sister Connect

Step 1 in our Prevention for Positives initiative

It is an intensive educational training program designed to provide women with knowledge about HIV/AIDS and related treatments. It empowers women to advocate for adequate treatment and appropriate care from their health care providers. Sister Connect is vital in increasing the sense of personal empowerment for women that are infected with HIV.

Participants are asked to attend all workshops which are designed to provide the information and skills necessary to live a longer and healthier life while managing HIV infection.

Goals for the program are to:

  • provide women with enhanced knowledge about HIV/AIDS related treatment, with particular
  • emphasis on new therapies; demonstrate to women effective ways in which to assertively seek
  • treatment and information from health care providers; empower women living with HIV/AIDS
  • by involving them in community education efforts.
